Trade Unionists and Southern African citizens will take to the streets of Johannesburg during a meeting of 15 African leaders, meeting about how to resolve the crisis in Zimbabwe. The people in the march will carry thousands of red cards, symbolising their 'expulsion'of Mugabe. Hopes are slipping away for a deal to resolve Zimbabwe's political crisis. Robert Mugabe announced plans to ignore the ongoing negotiations with the oppositio MDC party, form a sham "Government of National Unity" with a breakaway opposition faction, and open parliament next week.
