24 Hour Comics at Catalyst
Friday 03 October 08

On 18th -19th October bring your pencils, pyjamas and cornflakes to Catalyst for 24 Hour Comics- the annual, international competition for individuals to conceive and create a 24 page comic in 24 hours.
24 Hour Comics was created in 1990 by comic writer Scott McCloud and 2004 marked the first official, international 24 Hour Comics Day. Thousands have since participated around the globe and this year's event is being held simultaneously in Brazil, Finland, Indonesia, America, Dublin and more.
The event is free for all and participants are reminded to bring their preferred media, a cosy jumper and BBQ friendly food.
The rules for the day are: no pre planning your comic, no copying and no Comic-Sans.
The day kicks off at 10am in the gallery and officially ends at 10am on Sunday morning. All comics created will be displayed on the Catalyst website, www.catalystarts.org.uk.
If you are interested please email at catalystarts@gmail.com to sign up, or phone 02890 313303.
