PM wins vote thanks to Ulster MPs

Gordon Brown won a crucial vote on the 42 day terrow law because of 9 MPs from the Democratic Unionist Party. The nine votes saved the Prime Minister from an embarrassing defeat.
Mr Brown had staked his authority on winning the vote, personally calling dozens of Labour MPs to persuade them to back increasing the time limit that terror suspects can be held without charge.
His victory means Britain now has the toughest anti-terror laws in the Western world - where a terrorist suspect can be held without charge for 42 days.
The Prime Minister has denied doing a deal with the DUP to help him win the vote. "There was no deal with the Democratic Unionist Party, no deal with the Ulster unionists generally," said Gordon Brown.
What do you think about this new law and what do you think about the DUPs vote?
