On 5th April, listen in to Bush Radio to hear about the courageous work of young people in Cape Town to tackle the violence they experience in their communities.

This coming Saturday (5 April) marks the end celebration of a project which started in June 2007 when two Bush Radio facilitators attended training at Public Achievement in Northern Ireland, covering the topic "Youth Away from Violence" and The Civic Youth Work Models for Project Development.
This includes: raising awareness on bullying at schools, racism at schools, the safety of children and discussing sexual discrimination as a form of violence, rape, freedom of choice, gangsterism, issues of neglect, among many other issues specifically identified by young people, as forms of violence in our country.

To celebrate the successful implementation of these projects, a march is organised through Gugulethu (one of the areas where the project was implemented), to celebrate the achievements of these individual projects and to raise awareness around violence and youth at risk.

When: Saturday, 5th April from 10AM - 2PM
Where: Broadcast venue - Siyazingisa Primary School in NY 132, Gugulethu

At the school, we will have activities, such as games for children, performances of local artists, a soccer tournament as well as CREW broadcasting live from 10:00 - 13:00 [Note: This is 11 to 2.00 GMT, listen in on-line here - editor].
Bush Radio's child broadcasters will broadcast live from Gugulethu.
