When did you last read a book?

According to BBC one in four adults say they haven't read a book in at least a year. Why is this? Victoria Beckham claims that she has never read a book at all, have we stopped reading books because we would rather read about her new weights, clothes or husband?

2008 is the national Year of Reading and maybe more attention on books and the joy of reading will make more people read books, but do you think reading books is necessary to be clever, or does TV, internet, magazines etc give us all the information we need?
