20 November - Join the 108 Campaign

Ellen Diver, is an active member of the WIMPS team, a member of the Public Achievement Board, and she has joined Chris Madden in his campaign for the establishment of a Northern Ireland Youth Assembly. On the 20th November, 108 young people will visit the Northern Ireland Assembly to highlight the rights of children and young people, and to campaign for the establishment of a Youth Assembly.

The day is also the Universal Children's Rights day - so it is a great opportunity to highlight the UN Declaration on the Rights of the Child, and ways in which the Northern Ireland Executive could be doing more to support the rights, welfare and opportunities of children and young people.

The campaign is being supported by the Children's Commissioner's office and many schools and youth organisations. We are also using some funky technology called Swarmteams to facilitate the day and the campaign!
