I dont think its any important to read books, u get the same info on internet and its at least just as important to be updated on whats going on in the news today than what some man/woman wrote in the 17th century..

u make a good point about the internet.
yet books are not just about learning information. what about books that are read to little children, introducing the amazing book you were attached to that is interested from page one, to your closest friends books are the one thing you can take on holiday where there is no internet connection, read on the bus to and from school, flick through when u are sick of looking at a screen. books open a new world of adventures, information and skills that can only be disturbed when u put your book down and not by I.M conversations or annoying pop -ups. although the internet is an amazing tool so is the ability to pick up a book when and where u want.
