Our Goal

To combat youth suicide rates in Belfast and Northern Ireland by teaching suicide prevention and first aid courses in schools!

Why support my campaign?

In 2012 there was a total of 278 deaths by suicide in Northern Ireland!
Roughly 25% of those who die from suicide are between the ages of 15-25!
And 30% of those between the ages of 25-35!

By fighting for suicide prevention and first aid courses to be made available in schools we can fight for those who didn’t have someone to talk to!

Our Targets

  • Have Suicide Prevention and First Aid courses running in 5 schools. 1 in Greater Belfast and 4 in su within 6 months
  • How many schools in the surrounding Belfast Areas offer Suicide Prevention and First Aid courses within 2 weeks
  • Meet with 3 schools in the Greater Belfast Area regarding Suicide Prevention and First Aid schemes within 6 months
  • Meet with 3 Cllr’s, MLA’s, MP’s or Members of the Education Committee within 2 months
  • How many schools in the Greater Belfast area provide Suicide Prevention and First Aid courses within 2 weeks

  • Our Journey So Far!!

    Posted on September 23rd, 2013

Our journey with our campaign has led us to a place that I didn’t think we would be heading, when I started this campaign I thought oh we’ll contact a few politicians and a few schools and see what they say, never did i think that we would be arranging a campaign launch and inviting people to come to see what we want to do, it’s all becoming very real and people are getting on board with our campaign and taking us serious!

Our Campaign launch will be come soon :)
